Time Flies…. Author: Aug 25

So yeah, I was going to update this thing a month ago, and only just got around to it!

Where to start…

Foo Figghters = awesome night, they totally owned Wembley Stadium! I bought the DVD on the weekend, haven’t yet watched it.

Oxegen = Fantastic weekend, not too sure about camping in the mudfest, but it was an experience! Rage Against The Machine the total stand out, along with REM, The Verve, Pendulum, Powerdfinger, Keiser Chiefs were only OK and Kings of Leon were a massive let down!

Pamplona (running of the bulls) – Fuck me if this wasn’t the single best experience in my life, words can’t describe it, 24/7 party and the opening ceremony is something else! DO IT – if I am still here next year going again without fail!

Muse + Kasabian – Stupid FUCKING Dublin traffic screwed me over big styles, the concert was at Marlay Park, which is 10km out of the city center, it took 2 fucking hours on a bus to travel 10km!!! On the bus at 6:30 off at 8:30, so I missed Kasabian and wasn’t in the best of moods, but MUSE blew me away (as usual) the were simply brilliant, loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to see ‘em again!

Metallica + Tenacious D – After the previous week’s debacle, dicded to take a different tact, went for the Luis (light rail, tram’esque) and then a cab from closer to the park, worked a treat was out in under an hour. Tenacious D were hillarious, Jack Black knows how to work a crowd and they played to their strengths! Good light hearted fun.
Metallica were fkn awesome, play heaps of their old shit – I’ll post the set list once it’s up on livemetalliac.com

Aside from the stuff mentioned below (Oktoberfest and Rugby trips), I’ve been busy booking other stuff

6-7 Sept off to Eindhoven in Holland to see Aus v Holland in soccer
3-5 October – off to Riga (Latvia) or Bratislava (Slocakia) for a lads weekend on the piss with a few blokes from work, beets are apparently 80cents!!! It’s going to be messy.
24-26 October seeing OASIS!!! in Cardiff and a few days down there.

I think that’s all that comes to mind, the next few months will be busy, but FUN!!

I’ve been lazy again Author: May 20

So it’s been ages since I’ve updated the site, I was back in Aus in April and that was awesome, great to catch up with everyone and the 4 days in NZ was class – the V8’s rocked!

Remaining trips/plans/concerts for 2008 (at this stage)

31 May – 2 June – Long weekend, going away in Ireland with some of the lads from work
6 June – Foo Fighters @ Wembley in London
4-11 July – Pamplona for the running of the bulls – no idea if I’ll run or not, probably will!!
12-15 July – Oxegen www.oxegen.ie music festival here in Ireland, should be a blast – can’t wait for RATM
13 August – Muse + Kasabian in Dublin
20 August – Metallica and Tenascious D in Dublin
18-24 Sep – Munich for Oktoberfest, some serious drinking to be done there
15-16 Nov – London for Australia v England in Rugby
22-23 Nov – Paris for Australia v France in the Rugby
27-28 Nov – Cardiff for Australia v Wales in the Rugby

As you can see there is lots coming up, can’t wait!

Been busy Author: Mar 13

No suprise to see no updates in a while hehe. Well work and life and drinking do that!  So less then a month before I am home for a couple of weeks, can’t wait to drink some nice Australian beer and have a nice juicy scotch fillet steak, the fucking meat over here is shit!!

Anyway, I’ve already started planing stuff for this year…

  • Home & NZ in April 12-27th
  • June 6 – Foo Fighters at Wembley
  • July 4-10 – Spain (Pamplona) running of the bulls festival
  • July 11-13 – Oxegen.ie music festival here in Ireland (R.A.T.M aww yeah, plus an assload of other bands over 3 days, gunna be huuuuge)
  • Sept 18-23 – Opening weekend of Oktoberfest in Munich!! There will be lots of beer drank

Aside from those that are planned there will be some other trips in there as well, thinking of a tour of Scotland, Copenhagen and a few other places, still want to hit up Italy as well…

Anyway, this is far to much useful information for one update!

Welcome to 2008 Author: Jan 20

New year, first post….

So in December I saw Powderfinger & John Butler Trio, both awesome. Was in Newcastle for Christmas.

Not alot else going on at the moment, Aust day this weekend, going to www.woolshedbaa.com to have a few beverages and that’s about it… trying to work out my travel plans for 2008. Hope to get a long weekend ’somewhere’ in Feb & March before I head home in April!
